URBAN ONE FITNESS 

TERMS & CONDITIONS 

1. Introduction 

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of Urban One Fitness “Gym” by all Members, Guests, and Day Pass holders (collectively, "Users"). By using the Gym, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, you must not use the Gym. 

2. Membership 

  • Membership Types: 

  • Day Pass: Single-day access to the Gym. 

  • Class Pass: One time access to a gym class. 

  • Single Monthly Membership: Recurring monthly access to the Gym. 

  • Couples Membership: Recurring monthly access to the gym 

  • Annual Membership: Recurring yearly access to the Gym. 

  • Corporate Membership: Available to companies who have 10+ employees who are members of Urban One. 

  • Membership Application & Approval: 

  • Membership is subject to approval by Gym management. 

  • Management reserves the right to refuse membership for any reason. 

  • Membership Fees:  

  • Membership fees are subject to change. From Sept 08 2025, new memberships are subject to a €35 joining fee.

  • Corporate memberships are exempt from joining fee.  

  • Members will be notified in advance of any fee increases. 

  • On selecting the membership options, members will be required to pay the associated registration fee (if applicable).  

  • Members are required to agree to the normal terms and conditions of payment. This is a direct debit recurring monthly charge. Membership Fees will be debited from the member's account, using their given bank debit/credit card, on or around their join date each month, for the minimum 1-month term from the term start date. 

  • Members are required to keep their account in funds to meet these payments. In the event of the failure to pay the monthly membership fee, missed payments will be re-submitted for payment by Urban One Fitness.  

  • Xcel Fitness Ltd trading as Urban One.  reserves the right to cancel membership if payment is not received. Access to the facility will be denied until said payment is received and if payment is not received, and cancellation occurs, the registration fee becomes applicable again on re-joining. 

  • Failure to meet direct debit fee: In the event of the failure to pay the monthly direct debit fee, you will first be notified that your membership has been temporarily stopped until the balance is paid. 

 

  • Membership Suspension & Termination: 

  • Membership can be suspended or terminated by the Gym for violation of these Terms & Conditions, for conduct detrimental to the Gym or other Users, or at the discretion of Gym management. 

  • Guest Policy: 

  • Guests may be permitted to use the Gym with certain restrictions (e.g., limited number of guests per member). 

  • Guests are welcome to use the facilities & services of Urban One, by purchasing a 1-day gym pass online or at reception for a fee of €15. There is no limit to the number of day passes a person can purchase/use. 

  • Guest policies are subject to change. 

  • To cancel membership, please use the form lower down this page., the minimum notice to cancel is 1 month.

  • To freeze your membership, you can also use the same form.  Note that freezing membership will cost €15 euros, your membership can be frozen for up to 3 months.  

3. Safety & Hygiene 

  • User Responsibility: 

  • Users are responsible for their own safety and well-being. 

  • Users must assess their own fitness levels before using the Gym. 

  • Users must consult with a physician before starting any new exercise program. 

  • On commencing your membership, you will be directed to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (Par-Q). 

  • If you feel dizzy, faint, unwell or feel any unusual pain then you must stop exercising and inform a member of staff immediately. 

  • Studio users are advised to inform the instructor of any injuries, pains, or concerns prior to the class starting. 
     

  • Equipment Use: 

  • Before using the fitness facilities, you will be provided with a basic introductory training program sessions (as necessary) to ensure that you understand the equipment, the program and adopt a safe training regime that suits your needs. 

  • Users must use equipment as instructed. 

  • Users must wipe down equipment after use. 

  • Hygiene Standards: 

  • Users must maintain proper hygiene standards, including handwashing and sanitization. 

  • It is necessary that all members and guests wear appropriate, clean attire and footwear when using the studio and gym. 

  • Members cannot train in Urban One without a hand towel. In the interest of hygiene, members must wipe down each piece of equipment after use. 

 

  • Prohibited Substances: 

  • The use of alcohol, drugs, or any other prohibited substances within the Gym is strictly prohibited. 

4. Dress Code 

  • Appropriate Attire: 

  • Users must wear appropriate athletic attire. 

  • Street shoes are not permitted on the gym floor. 

  • Gym attire must be clean and not offensive. 

5. Code of Conduct 

  • Respectful Behaviour: 

  • Users must conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner. 

  • Disruptive behaviour, including loud talking, excessive phone use, and harassment, is prohibited. 

  • Gym Etiquette: 

  • Re-rack weights and equipment after use. 

  • Avoid dropping weights. 

  • Be mindful of other Users. 

6. Opening Hours 

  • Regular Hours of Operation: 

  • Monday to Friday 6am – 9pm  

  • Saturday 8am - 4pm  

  • Sunday 10am – 4pm  

  • Holiday Hours: 

  • 10am – 4pm 

  • The Gym reserves the right to adjust hours of operation for special events or maintenance. 

7. Liability 

  • Disclaimer of Liability: 

  • The Gym assumes no responsibility for any injuries, illnesses, or property loss that may occur while using the Gym. 

  • Users use the Gym at their own risk. 

  • Our company will not be liable for any damages, including consequential damages, or any damages arising from the loss of use, interruption of trade, financial loss or damages, whether in contract, negligence or other tortious action, arising from or in connection with the use of our website/app/social-media platform. 
    We refuse to accept any responsibility for the failure and/or actions of third parties, and content and communication interception which may occasionally occur using our website or associated services. 

  • We refuse to accept liability for parties who do not make us openly aware of faults and later deny such observations in legal action - Access our website at your own, sole risk and liability without exception. 

  • Our website content is provided on an "As Is" and on an "voluntary access" basis without any representations or any kind of warranty whether express, implied or statutory of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy. 

 

  • Equipment Maintenance: 

  • The Gym will use reasonable efforts to maintain equipment in good working order but does not guarantee the continuous operation of any equipment. 

  • Third Party Liability  

 

  • Any third-party content hosted or otherwise presented on our website/app/social-media platform is copyright of its respective owners.  

 

  • We do not accept liability for any loss or damage in transmission of such content and in turn do not accept any liability for how content may be misused by our website/app/social-media platform users. 

 

 

  • If you notice any third party, unauthorised content displayed on our website/app/social-media platform or otherwise communicated or transmitted by our company, please contact us (details available in our privacy policy). 

 

  • Our company not responsible for the availability or content of any third-party website/app/social-media platform or material accessed through our platforms. We purposely do not monitor third party content available through third party websites and/or links as a disclaimer of liability for such content. 
     

  • Our company does not endorse, and shall not be held responsible for any content, advertising, products, services or information on or available from third party sites. Third party sites linked through our website are not covered by our terms of service, and hence you must review their policies appropriately. 

 

8. Lockers 

  • Locker Usage: 

  • Lockers are provided for the convenience of Users. 

  • Users are responsible for the security of their belongings. 

  • The Gym is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. 

  • Lockers may not be used overnight. Members who do so are liable to find that the lockers are opened and locker contents removed. These contents will be kept at reception for 30 days, after which they will be disposed of.   

9. Complaints 

  • Complaint Resolution: 

  • Users may submit complaints to Gym management in writing or in person. 

  • The Gym will investigate and address all legitimate complaints. 

10. Data Privacy 

  • Data Collection and Use: 

  • The Gym may collect personal information from Users, which will be used in accordance with its Privacy Policy. 

  • Users can view the Gym's Privacy Policy 

  • Your Rights and Responsibilities Using Our Website/app or social-media platform 

  • When you use this website/app/social-media platform you agree to abide to civil, commercial, intellectual property, communications and liable laws which apply in the Republic of Ireland, regardless of your location. Failure to do so may result in legal action in an Irish court and possible extradition for offences against the state. In addition to these laws, accessible via this link http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/ and our privacy policy we wish to reaffirm the following rights 

  • All personal cameras and video recording devices are strictly prohibited from the gym floor. If a person is suspected of or reported to be using a recording device, Urban Ones staff reserve the right to ask you to remove it immediately. 

  • Urban One Fitness complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will only collect, process, and store your personal information with your consent for the purposes of delivering our services. Users have the right to access their personal data, request amendments, and demand deletion at any time by contacting us at the details provided in our Privacy Policy. 11. Governing Law 

  • Governing Law and Jurisdiction: 

  • These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. 

  • Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. 

 

 

12. Amendments 

  • Changes to Terms & Conditions: 

  • The Gym reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. 

14. Severability 

  • Severability of Provisions: 

  • If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed from these Terms & Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

All the terms and conditions of Membership and Rules contained herein apply equally to Members, Temporary Members and Guests alike.
