Hi, My name is Seamus. I am one of the owners of Urban One Fitness Studios. I've been a trainer for 21 years and a personal training gym owner for 17 .  My goal is to make sure that  Urban One is THE place to achieve your fitness/strength/weight loss goals.

I started 1-1 personal training 21 years ago.  I have trained hundreds of clients over thousands of hours.  Most of my clients are between 30-60 years old, although I have trained from 11yrs to 80+.   I love taking someone from a point where they are afraid to go to the gym to a point where they love the gym and exercise has become an everyday part of their lives.   Some of my clients I have had for more than a decade.   I've often trained the parents first and then the children!  These clients see training as a part of a healthy lifestyle and almost use me as a type of health insurance, as prevention is always better than cure.  I have trained clients with all sorts of medical issues, from minor strains to life threatening illness and helping those people is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

Ronan started working as a personal trainer 17 years ago. He spent a year and a half going to Dublin one day every month to receive three personal training sessions a day from Eoin Lacey (the strength coach of Conor McGregor). This helped him expand his knowledge of the program design, nutrition and achieving results.

Ronan has also spent time in London and Bath learning from some of the UK's best coaches. In September 2013, he completed an internship with Tom Crudgington of Body Development in Bath, one of the UK's top trainers in one of the UK's top gyms. Ronan also played hurling and practised martial arts for many years.

Before becoming a personal trainer, Ronan worked as a chef for over ten years in Ireland and the UK's most prestigious hotels and restaurants. Thirteen years ago, he decided to leave the chef trade and focus on his true passion, health and fitness. Ronan's clients now benefit from his cooking knowledge, getting fast and easy healthy recipes to help them achieve their fitness goals.

Cathy is a dedicated, hard-working trainer who puts great care and thought into her work. She is an excellent example of what can be achieved through proper nutrition and training, being lean, fit and very strong in the gym.

Cathy is the ex-captain of the University Of Limerick basketball team, and she has won many titles over the last few years (including Superleague Cup X 2, and League Champion X 4!). Cathy also played for Ireland in the 2006 U20 European Basketball Championships. In the off-season she plays tag rugby in Old Crescent.

Cathy trains all types of clients, all goals, all ages. A proud mum herself, she is our "go To" for training pre and post natal clients. Cathy is also passionately crusading against obesity in children and teens and believes in "weight loss through fun" programming for children. She is also specifically qualified in this area through NASM.

Eimear is a UCC Physiology graduate with a postgrad in Nutritional Sciences. She has a great understanding of how the body works, and she has all the tools to help clients with their diet and lifestyle.

Her main motivation for being a 1-1 personal trainer is to bring her clients all of the benefits that exercise has brought her. She believes in staying in shape all year round and although she trains nearly every day, balances her hard work with a love of travel and letting her hair down.

Working with clients on an individual basis allows her to get maximum results. Her goal is to provide science-based sustainable solutions while making the whole process enjoyable and fun for her clients.

Pa Begleys passion for health and fitness comes from his sporting background. He is qualified Personal Trainer with over 9 years of experience.  He has completed the NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist qualification.  His undergraduate degree was in Business & Sports Management for LIT.  His big sporting interest is in GAA.  A dual star, Patrick has represented Limerick in both hurling & football at every level, including senior. He currently plays senior hurling for his home club Mungret St. Pauls.

Patrick says “I am a big believer in the positive effects training can have not only for someone’s physical fitness but also their mental health. Making a start can be quite daunting but trust the process, be committed, be consistent, and there will be no stopping you. In my opinion the benefits of training go way behind things like a max bench, it can really improve a persons general well-being in all aspects of life”

Ollie is a Sport and Exercise Science graduate for the University of Limerick, who has recently moved back to limerick after spending 3 and half years working in Saudi Arabia as the head of sport and physical education for a top private school in Riyadh, then moving to Jeddah to work in the first mixed gym in Saudi looking after training royal family members, Olympic athletes and educating coaches.

What had once started as pre-season training for rugby, now Ollie trains and competes as a powerlifter.  He believes everyone can benefit from getting stronger. He has trained athletes to go to both the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and 2021 Winter Olympics in China, He also trains people with disabilities, having done a research masters looking at the effects exercise has on people in wheelchairs.

Ollie has a passion for educating clients on how to get the most out of themselves by lifting weight with correct technique, programming and progression and regression of exercises. Ollie also believes that a personal trainer's job is to teach the client about training so that can walk into any gym and train safely by themselves if needed.

Growing up surrounded by sport, Brendan played Gaelic football, hurling, handball and rugby through his former years. When moving from Mayo to study Sports and Exercise Science in UL, Brendan's love of strength training lead him to discover powerlifting. Having worked with his own coach to compete at national level, he realized a passion for coaching.

Writing gym programs for friends eventually resulted in the development of his own online coaching which looks to increase people's strength and boost their confidence in the gym.
